It pains us to write this description. We wish we didn't have to do this. It hurts so much. BUT WE GUESS WE CAN SHARE THIS HIDDEN GEM WITH YOU?! *EYE ROLL* Uygher Kroran. Uygher cuisine come from central Asia. It's located in the Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region of China, a huge area in the northwestern part of the country. It borders eight countries, including Russia, Pakistan, and Afghanistan. It was an important area along the ancient Silk Road trading path.
Uyghur cuisine combines the rich and hearty ingredients common across Central Asia with complex and spicy tastes favored in China. It’s a combination of everything: Middle Eastern, Turkish, Central Asian, Chinese, you name it. They're mostly known for the nan (bread) and samsa (bread with tender meat and spices) and also lamb kebabs. They also serve hand-pulled noodles. As the name suggests, these noodles are made by hand and leave the noodle more silky, chewy, and springy. We can't rave enough about the milk tea. It's served hot in a tea cup and has a less sweet, but creamy taste to it. We can't get enough of this place. This is why this is so difficult to write. The moment you listen to our podcast and read this, you're going to sprint over to this restaurant. We know it's going to become one of the top places to eat here in San Diego.
