But our citizenship is in heaven, and we eagerly await a Savior from there, the Lord Jesus Christ, — Philippians 3:20
Our home is not here, so every earthly loyalty is temporary and every loss is not final. Grace has already appeared and will not return empty, for it forms a people who live as citizens of the age to come. The same Savior who bore sin once will appear again to bring final salvation, so our waiting is not passive but a zealous pursuit of good deeds.
