Like the great movie La Dolce Vita's director, Frederico Fellini, he shares that  “Sweet Life” passion for making sure that feeling good is a priority, with watches and just about anything meaningful to us as individuals in life, and to never compromise that feeling. Design is one of the most important qualities of a watch, particularly in the creative independent watchmaking space, and we get to hear about the incredible design influences behind both versions of the new Gagà Laboratorio Labormatic, the Cinquanta and the Bauhaus. Discover how they are based on 1950s Milanese-inspired industrial designs, stylish Italian scooters,  Smeg kitchen appliances, the Porsche 356 and surprisingly San Giorgio fans! Listen in as we unravel many strands of these 20th century design icons from the 50s and 60s in the DNA of this remarkable watch.

To mark the 1st birthday of the CP7 Podcast, which also happens to be our landmark 40th episode, we have an extremely special guest on to talk watches and a few other unexpected topics too! The CP7 Boys chat to none other than Robert Jan Broer, affectionately known as RJ, the Founder of Europe's leading watch enthusiast online platform Fratello. Not only is he the main man at Fratello, he is also the creator of Speedy Tuesday on social media and a huge Omega Speedmaster collector.

No show with RJ can start without a Speedmaster kick off and boy do we get into some depth about how important it is in the watch icon hierarchy, and how many different models have been made, including a red Speedmaster Racing Michael Schumacher Edition, that Andy had handled which was owned by former Williams and McClaren Formula 1 driver Juan Pablo Montoya.  

You'll be blown away by what RJ thinks is the most important watch made in the history of the watch industry, as it's most certainly not what you think!

The boys also get RJ's valuable personal yet experienced insight into what will be a future icon that hasn't quite made it to that "label" yet, and what he rules out as not quite making the cut, of course giving his reasons why. Hot off the press! The UK's Bristol-based Fears Watch Company has just this week released a jumping hour watch into their regular collection, the Fears Brunswick 40.5 Jump Hour, and the CP7 Boys got hands-on before this show to review it. Just to give you that extra special CP7 experience, who better to invite onto the show to talk about the new watch than, none other than the dapper and charismatic CEO of Fears, and our first-ever returning guest, Nicholas Bowman-Scargill.

Yes he’s back, back again! 
The resident gentleman of The CP7 Podcast, Mr Martin Green. Interrupting his busy schedule in the Netherlands, Martin finally prioritised between being Editor At Large for Watch Time USA magazine, and the GPHG Academy’s voting panel to take his place as the unofficial third member of Chrono Passion 7!

From a slightly worrying start to a marathon of brand appointments, networking, journalistic highlights, and hospitality... lots of hospitality!

In this very special episode, the CP7 Boys are joined by Rikki Daman from the stellar Scottish Watches Podcast.
It was a great day to record the show, as not only did Scottish Watches just release their latest collaboration with cool Swiss brand Formex, the Essence Skye that very day, but the banter is off the chart from the get go!

Scottish Watches is the most popular watch podcast right now (apart from CP7 of course!) and was started by Rikki in 2019 whilst a complete newbie in the watch world. Hear about how, in that short time, Scottish Watches have collaborated with multiple brands including Swatch and H. Moser & Cie and become the juggernaut they are now, and what exactly is the real story behind the H.Moser x Scottish Watches collaboration Streamliner (or Memeliner as Rikki calls it). Was it really an April Fool's joke? Find out here.

It ended in 2019, but the boys find out about the the old Basel World and the difference between that, and today's premier watch show event, Watches & Wonders. Have they both been surpassed by Dubai Watch Week?
