Hey Pickles!

We have a ton to talk about this week, so we've pushed pause on our Vegan Cookbook Challenge to make room for it all!

We went to a vegan meet up in Buffalo at The Beer Keep, hosted by Donisha Gant, owner of Plantae Vegan Market 212 Grant St Buffalo! We'll fill you in on the event and the food we found at The Beer Keep.

We sat in on a zoom meeting hosted by Connie Spence, founder of Agriculture Fairness Alliance. She was reporting back on her trip to DC with their lobbyists where they had meetings with lawmakers to discuss the upcoming farm bill. Connie wants us to encourage you to join their vegan voter hub. We headed south to the Pittsburgh VegFest! This was a big event with over 140 vendors.
There was food, animal sanctuaries, rescue orgs, food trucks, and live local bands!

It was a great event, and we want to thank everyone involved in putting it together!
We had a wonderful time, and it was a beautiful day!

Hey Pickles!!

Our Veg Fest tour continues with a visit to the first annual Burlington Ontario VegFest!
We were thrilled to venture north to Canada to check out this new festival, and we were not disappointed! It was such a well organized event, with over 70 vendors, and so many great organizations providing information on vegan activism!

We continue our Vegan Cookbook Challenge with a recipe from The Big Book Of Vegan Cooking by Dianne Wenz. This is an amazing book with 175 great vegan recipes to try!

We have a lot of our usual shenanigans, and many laughs.

Hey Pickles!

This week we said goodbye to our niece, Lucy. We'll let you know all the vegan food that we made for her while she was staying with us.

We try a vegan option at local Fredonia NY restaurant, Domas Fare!

We attended a really cool vegan pop up market in Tonawanda NY at The Vegan Center.
We met some great people, and ate some fabulous vegan food from Blooming Wild, and Radical Foods!

This week we were lucky enough to be vendors at the WNY VegFest! We'll let you in on the food we ate, the vendors that were there, AND our niece, Lucy came along to help us at our booth.

We had such an amazing time! The event was well attended, and it was so well organized.

Hey Pickles!

Sam spent the weekend away with her family, and we talk about the food she ate while with her non vegan family. We also share what Christine ate while she was left to her own devices!

Our Niece, Lucy joins us in the studio for the first time, and we look forward to taking her with us to WNY VegFest next week!

We continue our Vegan Cookbook Challenge, and revisit one of our favorite cookbooks, Epic Vegan Quick & Easy by Dustin Harder, The Vegan Roadie!
This week's recipe was his Fiesta Quinoa Bowl With Sweet Lime Vinaigrette. This is a really great recipe for warmer weather. It was super satisfying and we will definitely make this one again!

We review the film, The End of Medicine. This film focuses on both the connection between animal agriculture and disease, and the link to antibiotic resistance.

We update you on the vendors that will be at WNY VegFest, and of course we have our usual shenanigans!

We had a great weekend. We hope you did too! We roadtripped a little to Trader Joe's & Target to do some shopping and to scope out vegan products. We went to Cheesecake Factory to have lunch, and we'll tell you what we found to eat on their menu!

We continue our Vegan Cookbook Challenge with a cool summertime grilling recipe from the book, Totally Vegetarian by Toni Fiore. This is a great book with mostly vegan recipes, and the vegetarian recipes tell you how to veganize them!

We spotlight one of our favorite vegan organizations, Food Empowerment Project, and tell you how you can join them in helping farmworkers and their families.

This week we wrap up our trip to Orlando. Things took a turn for the worse.
