Sheyann’s mom went to prison for an inappropriate sexual relationship with a minor, upheaving their seemingly perfect small-town life, and sending her on a spiral of shame. After twelve years of hiding her reality, Sheyann ended up in therapy after postpartum depression led to her rock bottom. Through her pursuit of healthy mothering, she ended up on a path to recovery from her repressed memories, and opened up about being sexually abused by a family member during her childhood.
