This week, we have Dr. Ajibade Aibinu, a Senior Lecturer from the University of Melbourne on the show!
Dr. Aibinu led the charge on a research paper to finally give us an answer on how much RFI (Requests For Information) are costing us as an industry. The answer is a shocker.

This episode is complete chaos, but we hope you enjoy it nonetheless.
Our other brother, Andy, joined us in the podcast booth during Thanksgiving week to tell childhood stories about ourselves. Growing up in a house full of boys means there is a lot of action happening under one roof and a ton of crazy stories. So kick back in your comfy pants and enjoy.

This week Eddie and Tyler sit down with Marian Rafael of One to One Displays, out of Melbourne Australia!
Marian has been floating in and out of our news feeds with videos of people walking around an open space with projectors showing a home floor plan at full scale. If you haven't seen this, you need to go check it out in the links below. We get the chance to talk about where the idea came from, how it works and what they're doing to take the idea to the next level.
Here's a summary of what One to One Displays specializes in (from their website) -
"One to One Displays is a floor plan projection center, set up in a large warehouse with the latest projection technology, we provide you the opportunity to walk through your plans in a 1:1 scale to fully understand the dimensions and details of your build before any work begins. It’s important to actually SEE your floor plan in real-life scale with furniture to give you a 3D feel and have the confidence in knowing that every centimeter is checked. You want your REAL home to be as close as possible to your DREAM home. Let us help you turn ethereal into reality."
This was a phenomenal conversation and we're so excited for you to hear it!

This week Eddie and Tyler sit down with Benjamin Crosby of Yates Construction to talk about VDC (Virtual Design and Construction) and BIM (Building Information Modeling). Since Eddie and Tyler both make their living in the BIM/VDC world, it's good to have a reality check every once in a while. Benjamin provides that insight!
Benjamin's focus is to build a unified team to complete a successful project. He believes that a high level of communication and cooperation are produced with VDC, which brings all the players together to focus on the project as a whole.
As Director of BIM (Building Information Modeling), Benjamin is responsible for all the BIM projects Yates is currently completing. He is also educating Yates' management in the general application of BIM policies, techniques, and benefits. As Yates is fully embracing BIM, they have seen that there are greater benefits to be gained the more other team members join in the process.
As a result, Benjamin spends much of his time teaching VDC/BIM classes, hosting online education, and traveling to projects to help not only Yates but all the project team to gain the benefits that result from a collaborative BIM process.
