Paula Williams is a graduate from The Art Institute of Chicago, she believes secrecy and judgment are what make shame thrive. She created the Shamebooth to bring people's shame stories out into the open, meet them with empathy, and banish shame for good.
Paula's desire to help others evolved as the result of years of self medicating with booze and pills, and a history of mental health issues, which has led Paula to recovery. This experience has radically shifted her perspective towards others who are suffering and are full of shame, terrified to ask for help. Today, she is grateful to be in a position to give back.
Paula and Sarah talk about shame, shame and MORE shame! They get into the world of addiction/recovery, trauma and connection...all with their shared sense of humor and love for being a wild child.

Jennifer Dopierala has been a healer since 2008 and is the creator of Tidal Heart Healing. Through her work, she helps people let go of limiting beliefs and energetic blocks. This helps them move -- physically, emotionally and spiritually -- with freedom and ease in their lives, while learning to love themselves just as they are. Also a meditation instructor and former teacher with a Master's in Education, she has a depth of experience in creating an open space of compassion and listening.
Jen and Sarah discuss Jen's past life as a cocky healer and how, over time, she's allowed herself to lean into the fact that she was chosen for this path. Jen and Sarah also talk about their shared experiences of perfectionism and the difference between self-criticism and self-awareness.
