Welcome to Episode 41 of "Cycles of Time!" I'm your host, Alison Dale, and this week, as usual, I'm diving deep into the astrology and human design of the season. I'm super excited to talk about how the influence of the sun gate extends beyond just our zodiac signs.

This week we carry on through the last full week of Sagittarius season, and the sun’s transit through the Human Design Gate of the Egoist (26) and the Gate of Ideas (11). We wrap up the week on Sunday with a full moon in Gemini in the Gate of Caution (12). 

In this episode, I reflect on my journey of self-discovery during the Sagittarius season, exploring my south nodes in the gates of Idealism and the Egoist. We'll get into some fascinating aspects of Neptune's role in my chart in Gate 11 and its connection with the galactic center at 27 degrees Sagittarius.

I'll discuss the Gate of the Egoist, or Gate 26, linked to the I Ching's Taming Power of the Great, and its shadow aspects involving ego-driven pride and control. We'll also touch on the Gene Keys' interpretation of Gate 26's shadow and the transformative process of embracing mysterious, non-linear ideas.

I share some personal anecdotes, such as my experiences with reverse culture shock and the ego's influence on our behavior. I'll highlight the importance of humility, deliberate communication during the full moon in Gemini, and the balance between idealism and realism. Welcome to episode 40 of Cycles of Time Podcast! This week we enter the season of… slowing down.

As we begin December in the Gregorian Calendar, we’re also beginning a shift in the Taoist 5-element cycle from the season of Metal to the season of Water.

Autumn’s metal is associated with strength, discernment, independence, grief, and focus, while winter’s water is associated with rest, adaptability, depth, and renewal. There isn’t a hard line for the shift between seasons, but it’s starting to feel more like water in my life. How about you?

This slowing down also aligns with another transit of the week: Mars stationing retrograde in Leo. From our view on earth, Mars will appear to move backwards across the Zodiac from December 6-February 23. This is taking the planet of action out of his forward-moving comfort zone and helping us reflect on and revision the ways we take action in the world. It’s time to move slowly and go inward- perfect timing with the season of water’s arrival.

The sun this week is moving through Sagittarius and the Human Design gate of Fixed Rhythms. Known as patience in the I’Ching, this energy encourages us to tap into the pace of nature, which is often slower than we want to accept in our modern world.

The overarching theme of this week: Good things come to those who wait, and even better things come to those who practice patience.
