$TSM down because of their first quarterly decrease in profit in 4 years. AI is driving chips but the other chips in electronics is lagging - and that’s a LARGE portion of $TSM business so the increase in AI can’t cover the decrease in the PC/handset/server market. 

A hiccup in TSMC’s Arizona factory plans. Apple supplier Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co. is delaying production at its new Arizona-based chip plant until 2025 due to a shortage of skilled labor. Executives say they’re working to send trained technicians from Taiwan to train local workers and help accelerate equipment installation. The issue highlights a significant challenge the U.S. and other countries will have as they onshore industry and diversify away from Asia-based supply chains

Also, can you do an analysis on CSIQ? Currently seems to be reversing to bullish . PE of 8.5, 15% below 52 week high. Also treated as high as $70 in January 2021.

Yesterday, almost every stock in the Nasdaq 100 went up EXCEPT the magnificent 7 (AAPL, MSFT, GOOGL, AMZN, TSLA, NVDA, META). The only exception was META that went up because its new Threads app gained a record 100m users in 5 days

The Mag 7 declined yesterday because it was announced that the Nasdaq 100 index will be doing a special rebalancing to reduce the weightage of the Mag 7 on 24 July. 

Currently, Mag 7 makes up 55% of the Nasdaq 100. This weightage change will reduce it to below 50%. This means that Index ETFs that track the Nasdaq 100 will be forced to sell the Mag 7 and rotate the cash into the other 93 stocks. The market has started to price in this change yesterday.

I expect the Mag 7 to have a bit of price decline because of this in the short-term... may be a great opportunity for investors to add shares if they get weak enough.

$tqqq was the play mid day once it got confirmation. I think under $40 is the buy for the end of the month 

The market is a bull market that when it dips (until we lose momentum) buy that dip  if you want to play the triple levered etfs 

$rivn upped price target to $35 - this could get to $30 so I think you could hold this like $tsla - it’s the only ev company I would leave tesla for personally 

$shop close to $60 - I like it here to get to $66 by the end of the year too

$meta - 30 million downloads - first social media app to be this big this fast. Ironic that elon and twitter are threatening lawsuits because zuck hired ex Twitter staff that was fired - good management takes advantage of opportunities

Brad freeman who I follow on savvytrader said this about $sofi and I agree 

Reminder that $SOFI's prudent guide calls for:

1) 2.5% 2023 GDP contraction

2) 5% unemployment

3) Rate cuts back half of the year (it's a bank)

That Jobs number today & the recent GDP print makes that forecast look too pessimistic.

If that's the case... there should be upside.

Would you mind sharing your thoughts on $FUNC (First United Corporation) might not be a bad bounce play. If it actually goes back up. I’m not 100% sure how outdated the information on finviz is on it price target wise.

EX dividend date coming up - about a 1.46% dividend off the $.20 it’s paying - but it’s got no confirmation so you very well may lose that in 1 day

June adp payrolls up 497k…. 220k was expected - more fed hikes - so the market reacted downward 

Bond rates went up and the 2/10 inversion is wider than ever now - again a signal to a recession that’s been inverted since last March 

Jobless claims in line at 248k vs. 245k expected - continuing claims lighter than expected. 

I signed up for thread and $meta stock will go to $400 now - it’s already got 11 million customers in first several hours - it’s a total Twitter clone 

$META launched Threads - this is huge if they can take even a small amount away from Twitter. If Meta does this right - moves $META to a $400 stock

$BAC under $30 and boosted dividend
