New member here! What is everyone's thoughts on EVGO?

Their Director just bought nearly over 5.8 million shares during the dip. They qualify to tap into the $7.5B Biden grants into EV charging, $10B into clean transportation. They also did better than predicted in their last couple of quarters, but they also suffered from the GM/Tesla deal and there are some other drawbacks but curious if anyone has opinions on them.

Fed paused but indicated they want to hike more in the year - another .5% to bring it to 5.5% to 6.25%. They indicate economy is strong and raised the GDP forecast. They see unemployment coming down. 

The reason the market went down - because they said they will continue to raise and this is just a pause. The market thought a pause meant ending and with more rate increases this year, it’s unlikely to see a cut anytime soon unless they break something. 

When asked Powell said speed of hikes is separate. Speed was important last year, but as we get towards the end it makes sense to go slower (like they went from .75% to .5%) so moderating the pace made sense. 

He said they don’t know the extent of the banking crisis - whether it’s done or not)

Gary,  In December of last year $TGTX got approved by U.S. health regulators for its  monoclonal antibody for treating patients with relapsing forms of multiple sclerosis. From what I've been reading MS treatments have a huge footprint in the pharmaceuticals/ healthcare market. What are your thoughts on this stock? From the show, I’ve slowly added a lot of nice performing stocks.  However I most of them I could call “blue chip”, well established behemoths of the market ($AAPL, $TSLA, $MSFT, $SCHW, $ORCL….btw EARNINGS jump, I should tip my bartender on that one).  But I was also looking to add some more stocks that are younger in the growth cycle, newer companies with high potential for growth.  Right now the only stock I own that kind of fits that profile would be $PLTR.

I was wondering if you have any other recommendations I should add to that list?

Can I get your thoughts on DISH ?? A friend asked me about it a few days ago. I’m from the UK and don’t know how big this company is over in the US but it’s MC is nearly 4bn 👀 Current market price is sitting on a volume shelf with a small area of support at 5.95 where it double bottomed. Below that area it looks very frosty and there’s been a small but steady decline in revenue over the last few quarters. I don’t like the chart but I’m intrigued by the insider buys. One Director has been scooping up shares this year 👀👀 You have to wonder why … 🤔🤔 really low P/E and an intriguing forward P/E too. Not sure if it’s forward P/E is a bit irrational given it’s current P/E 🤔. If it can flip the 8.34 area I think it could rip. But it looks like it could struggle to get there… 

There has also been recent rumour of a partnership to help pay for its 5G network rollout. Amazon was mentioned but there has been no further news.  

I think the rate hikes have hurt this stock. I don’t think we have too much further to go in the hike cycle which could be bullish for DISH. 

Unsure on this one but there’s a few things that intrigue me….

The S&P 500 $SPY just closed 20% up off its recent October lows the technical definition of a BULL MARKET

$TSLA - $GM announced they will join $F and partner with $TSLA on the charging network. Now the only holdout that’s making EV’s in the US is Volkswagen, Polestar, Rivian and a few others. As production from the big 2 ramps up, the administration will fold and the Tesla charging standard will be the standard therefore getting a huge bump in the infrastructure dollars and creating a new revenue stream.

$tgt downgraded by $c saying it might be a long haul with sales slump due to social media issues 

Target received a Hold rating and a price target from Citi analyst Paul Lejuez today. The company’s shares closed yesterday at $131.27

Currently, the analyst consensus on Target is a Moderate Buy with an average price target of $177.84, a 35.48% upside from current levels. In a report released on June 7, Truist Financial also maintained a Hold rating on the stock with a $137.00 price target

After Friday - a pullback was welcome to continue higher. 

$aapl swung between a 2.2% gain and a 1.6% loss Monday — debuted its ar / vr headset as well as new software. Shares were up slightly after hours.

$META for Rastaman - their headset will be available for Christmas costing only 10% of what $AAPL headset is available for - but Apple’s won’t be available. 

$intc dropping more than 4% after Apple unveiled a new chip.

$Intc under $30 but there is an analyst out there saying we see a chip slowdown so be careful and add in small lots for $amd and $nvda $qcom and $mrvl 

bank stocks slid following news that regulators are contemplating increasing capital requirements for large banks. $gs $bac  each lost about 0.6% on Monday, while $ms slipped around 0.7% and $jpm shares slid nearly 1%. The $xlf dropped about 2.2% - check $arkf 

With no economic data of note scheduled Tuesday, investors will focus on some of the last earnings reports to trickle in this season, including one coming after the bell from online personal styling service $sfix 

$GTLB - crazy good earnings 

$Intc under $40 but there is an analyst out there saying we see a chip slowdown

Author argues Investors today are paying approximately 51 times fiscal 2024 consensus earnings ($nvda fiscal year ends in late January) and 23 times full-year sales for a company whose growth engine completely stalled in fiscal 2023.

These are the same consensus estimates that were under by 20% in just the last announced quarter.

$aapl developers conference is today - headset - MacBook Air with 15” screen and m2 chip - new m2 studio - maybe a Mac Pro - watch os with a big change. Company generating $100b of free cash flow every year - that alone deserves huge multiple but it’s at an all time high. China is still soft so growth there could be huge. India innovation too because that’s a very non iPhone market.

Thoughts on $AMD? I‘m up 7% after being down 30%… huge position (for me), and a part of me just wants to take the profits and get out because I’ve gotten so beaten up on this stock over the last 2 years.  Do I need to man up and keep holding this position? Or sell it all and get into something else (like $nvda).
