You want a job but you’re not legally ready for one or it’s difficult to get one, so you wonder, how do you make money as a teenager?
First of all, relax. You’re young. I started early and I worked hard. At the same time, I know it takes time. Anything great takes time to accomplish. Right now, here are a couple things that you can do.
Number one, work to learn, don’t work to earn. Don’t get a job just to “make a quick buck” or make a few dollars. Pick a career. Choose something where you can develop your skills and acquire some knowledge.

David Meerman Scott is a renowned marketing strategist, entrepreneur, advisor to emerging companies, venture capital strategic partner, and bestselling author of 10 books, including BusinessWeek bestseller “The New Rules of Marketing & PR.”
He launched his own business when his ideas became a little too radical his bosses, back when he had a job. The main motive behind his work for his business and at conferences and seminars is to get others to reach “your buyers directly to drive more revenue.”
In this podcast, David talks about newsjacking, an idea he pioneered back in 2011. A company that fixes up and sells purses can save a celebrity with money troubles, for example. It’s about “injecting your ideas into a breaking news story to generate tons of media coverage.”

Why do people decide to leave their jobs and become entrepreneurs?
They dream about unlimited earning potential. Control of their own destiny, their own schedule. Freedom. They dream about doing what they love. But reality slams into them pretty hard.
They’ll meet a client at 6:15am to make a sale because if they don’t, they’ll be working from a broken desk in shelter in two months. Day after day they have to make difficult decisions. Now if you’re an entrepreneur, what’s your reality?
Do you have less freedom and less money than you imagined? Or are you making a lot of money and living your dream? Maybe you’re in the middle. But why is there such a big gap between these entrepreneurs?

How did Jennie and I first meet?
It’s very simple. We fell in love at first sight, and she asked for my phone number, and here we are.
When I first saw her, I was ordering food in the room and we were just chatting. I was flirting with her a bit. And I remember at the time she was wearing a skeleton necklace. She was serving our food when I grabbed the necklace. I said, “That’s cool,” and she was like, “What the hell?”
After that when I was paying, she was the cashier who gave me a VIP card. I thought it was a sign that she was interested in me.

When it comes to making large amounts of money, size matters. If you’re wondering how to make a million dollars, size matters even more.
Why? Because wanting the money won’t get you the money. Buying the golden ticket – a lottery ticket- won’t guarantee that you’ll win. Doing what you’re passionate about won’t be enough because the marketplace is selfish.
The marketplace only cares about what you can do for them. So to make a million dollars, stop chasing the money. Money doesn’t go to the people who need it the most. It goes to those who add value to the marketplace. It goes to those who know how to multiply it.
