This time on that podcast you don't listen to: What is the terrible secret of The Heap, America's third or fourth most popular 70s comic book muck monster? Is he of earth... or hell? And why is he so whiny? Mike and James find none of the answers as they slog through a 'heap'ing helping of shitty horror stories. This time on the Couch: Mike and James read Space War no. 9, the worst comic book ever made, leading to a game of "Actual Charlton Comics Concept or Shit James Just Made Up?" In their quest to discuss literally anything but Space War no. 9, the guys talk progressive sexual ideas (again) and laugh about the death of Mike's shitty grandma. Also, which race has the biggest socio-political advantage in space, according to low-budget conservative comic books from the early 60s? The answer isn't surprising in any way!

This time on the Couch: Get ready to be able to impress a very select group of people after listening to the deluge of late 80s/early 90s pop culture fun facts Mike and James unload while discussing the Ninja Turtles classic 'Return to New York' arc. From Daredevil to He-Man to the Mighty Mutanimals, no connection is too tangential when you're trying to fill up time while discussing a comic that's mostly just pictures of limbs getting chopped off.

This time on the Couch: The Flash does basically nothing to avenge the death of Android Lincoln, which leads to a load of presidential fun facts. Then all of that educational goodwill is ruined when we spend a disproportionate amount of time discussing Elongated Man's genitalia. Finally, the Flash fights some stupid clouds, which obviously leads into a conversation about the virtues of polyamory. It's a special Valentine's Day episode of the Couch!

This time on the Couch: Spider-Man props up a bunch of nobodies as Chris Claremont farts around until he can get back to writing X-Men scripts. Boomerang shows why he's maybe the third best boomerang expert in comicdom. Get that bronze, buddy!

This time on the Couch: Jack Kirby gets his bitter and kinda baffling revenge on shiester/shameless pimp Stan Lee in the form of the Funky Flashman. Meanwhile Mike and James passive-aggressively compete for Big Barda's affections. She's alllll woman!

This time on the Couch: James explains why it's time to dramatically ramp down all the credit you've been giving Stan Lee all these years, Mike fights a mutant turkeyman, and we learn what the hell Grit Magazine is. Oh, and the Avengers second-stringers try to capture a belligerent Captain Marvel. We're legally not allowed to give you any more content!
