A new campaign launched by Bóithre Chonamara is hoping that residents of the Gaeltacht in Connemara can be given ethnic minority status. The petition, which has just been launched says that 'If the Gaeltachts are registered as an ethnic minority, it would be hoped that the rights of the people of the Gaeltacht would flourish and that they would be on a par with a community outside the Gaeltacht again.'

Speaking to Dermot and Dave, spokesperson for Bóithre Chonamara, Mánus Ó'Conaire explained the reasons behind their decision to push ahead with the petition and what sets An Gaeltacht apart from the rest of the country.

How does a professional choreographer react when their favourite song comes on in the club? Top Irish choreographer and movement coach James Berkery spilled the beans on Ask Me Anything with Dermot and Dave.

James, who has worked on massive American chat shows with James Corden and Jimmy Kimmel, also shared his top tips for not making a total show of yourself on the dancefloor and revealed if it is possible to cure 'two left feet'.

From age 6 to about 11/12, for the Our Father prayer instead of saying "lead us not into temptation" I used to say "lead Misses Knot into temptation" cos we had a neighbour called Mrs Knot and I thought it was about her. Last night, some of the most famous names in the US and around the world had their Twitter accounts taken over by an, as yet, unknown hacker.

Tesla CEO Elon Musk, Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos, Microsoft founder Bill Gates, Former US President Barack Obama, Musician Kanye West, Potential Democratic Presidential Candidate Joe Biden, Media billionaire Mike Bloomberg, Reality TV star Kim Kardashian, Uber and Apple were just some of the accounts impacted by the hacking.

Over the course of several hours, the accounts all Tweeted similar messages.

While only around 250 people actually fell for the scam, bigger questions around the social network and its security remain.

Jess Kelly, tech journalist and host of Tech Talk spoke to Dermot and Dave about what this could mean for Twitter and its users.

Since the pandemic began, the issue of face coverings or masks has been a hot button topic. One issue that has come up repeatedly is the issue of oxygen levels and concerns that wearing one could cause a harmful reduction in them.

Dr Matt O'Toole, the self-titled 'Dr Zero Craic' has gone above and beyond to prove that this isn't the case. He wore 6 masks at once while wearing an oxygen monitor to prove that wearing a face covering doesn't impact on your oxygen levels.

Speaking to Dermot and Dave, Matt explained why he felt the need to make the video and his take on Government plans not to proceed to phase 4 of coming out of lockdown.

It's barely been two weeks but it seems that this won't be Kanye West's year to become President of the United States.

Early in July, Kanye tweeted that he was entering the race.
