  • Meet The Louth Golfer Who Is Making A Huge Impact On World Golf
A couple of weeks ago, our very own Dermot Whelan had the honour of competing in the Dubai Duty Free Irish Open Pro-Am at Lahinch, an event he says was one of the best experiences of his life.
Not only did he get to play alongside 2008 US Masters winner Trevor Immelman, he was also teamed up with Louth man Brendan Lawlor, which was his real highlight.
"He's easily the best golfer I've ever seen play golf"
Brendan is one of the the top golfers in the world to play with a disability. He was born with Ellis-Van Creveld syndrome, a rare genetic condition characterized by short limbs, additional fingers and/or toes and congenital heart defects, but this has never held him back from anything.
Dermot and Dave chat to the 22-year-old about his journey from pitch and putt player to winning the inaugural EDGA (European Disability Golf Association) Scottish Open over the past week.

The inspirational youngster discusses the power of family and why he has to be smart when it comes to his decision on whether he turns pro or not.
If the golf doesn't work out, he could always make it as a comedian. He's some craic lads.

The mum-of-three spotted the arachnid in her house a couple of days before the attack happened and checked it out online to see what it could be. It's size and the "skull marking" revealed it to be a noble false black widow.
Dermot and Dave gave Maria a call to find out more about the ordeal.

  • Dermot Has A HUGE Confession To Make
For weeks and weeks Dermot and Dave have been making fun of Maria for being so invested in the TV phenomenon that is Love Island.
They've constantly berated her for the "trashy" TV show and passed judgement on her both on and off air.
Well my my my look how the tables have turned.
Our Dermot sat down last night and BINGE WATCHED Love Island.

  • Dave's World - This Porcupine Has An Irish Accent
Maybe the pollen has gone to our heads but we're pretty sure this is legit.
First of all, we never knew porcupines even made a noise let alone an Irish one.
    But there's no denying it:
I don't know what I expected a porcupine to sound like but it wasn't this - I am extremely pleased, however, and would die for this creature. s/o @curlybeach for blessing my life with this information pic.twitter.com/bclDatweVh

  • Here's Where You'll Find The Most Annoying GAA Fans Across The Country
People have been voting for the most annoying GAA fans across the country on a Twitter thread, and the results are in.
Dermot & Dave ran through the full list of all the traits we hate, from know-it-alls to blaming a curse we've compiled a list of the Top 10 most annoying counties.
For the full ranking press the Listen button on this page!
MOST ANNOYING GAA FANS – TOP 10
Cork – According to Cork fans, they should have won every competition ever – and anytime they didn’t win, it’s not because a better team won, it’s be THEY played bad. Their fans also seem to have a better wealth of knowledge then any player or manager in the country.
Tipperary – Arrogant is the only way to describe Tipp fans – if you meet a Tipp hurling fans in the run up to any hurling game, they reckon they’ll win hands down.
Dublin – To be fair, the Dublin hurling fans are great. Why? Because they are all from or related to people from down the country. The Dublin football fans however claim they ‘bleed blue’ however most of them couldn’t name the starting 15 over the last 5 years.
Waterford – Little bit rough around the edges, lets just say the Waterford fans could find beef with even a Wicklow supporter
Kerry – We get it, you’ve won loads of All Ireland’s – no need to mention that every time you lose, win or draw a game.
Limerick – Up until 12 months ago, they were actually grand. However, now they seem to think they have a god given right to play every game at home and their fans think they’ll probably win the next 10 All Ireland finals.
Kilkenny – Just don’t seem to appreciate all the good times they’ve experienced over the last 20 years. Like Kilkenny winning an All Ireland is ZERO craic.
Offaly – Well.. this is fairly self-explanatory.
Clare – They talk a good game and have the swagger of a Kilkenny fan. However, ye have only won 4 All Ireland’s lads and the 90’s are a LONG time ago, time to move on.
Mayo – There is no such thing is as a curse, and every year isn’t your year. The only reason you aren’t higher up the list is because every year after your team gets knocked out you go into hibernation.
