The No. 5 Texas Longhorns made it a bit more dramatic than it needed to be at times, but came away with a win over the Clemson Tigers to open the 2024 College Football Playoffs.

Rather than the defense setting the pace for Texas, it was the offense that got the job done, dominating the Tigers on the ground. Jaydon Blue turned in a career day, while Quintrevion Wisner inched closer to 1,000 yards on the season for the Longhorns.
