Lots of us have experienced a kind of Deconstruction from conservative/evangelical religion. A good portion of those folks have left the church entirely (for very good reasons). But some of us have remained in the world of church. And then a handful of us (like, well, Kate & Colby) have both stayed AND tried to LEAD churches.
