A few interesting news stories in this episode! We are seeing new legislation being passed to help increase the number of hygienist and hygiene educators. Hopefully this will help those of us struggling to find qualified candidates to hire. JB is also shedding some light on the new Corporate Transparency Act that is impacting small dental businesses. If you are not familiar, you may want to look into it before the January deadline because not filing will come with some heavy monetary fines. Lastly we dive into the FDA involvement of a bacteria problem at the popular Tom's of Maine manufacturing plant.

We learned so much this week when we talked to Dr. Aaron Weller, expert physical therapist, on this week’s Humpday Happy Hour™!🎉🎉

Aaron was born and raised in the North Texas area and has lived there most of his life.

He originally studied Mechanical Engineering prior to serving in the Army, but quickly

found that this was not his path. Following a long list of physical injuries and subsequent

rehabilitation from sports, weightlifting and military service, Aaron found he had a

passion for exercise, health, and nutrition.

After discharging from the Army, graduated with his Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University of Texas Southwestern School of Health Professions in 2021.

His experience and specializations are extensive, including:

Dr. Revilla-León is an expert prosthodontist who specializes in aesthetic and digital dentistry. With more than 15 years of experience, we’re honored to have the opportunity to learn from her in yet another brilliant conversation!

Dr. Revilla-León has had more than 100 publications in peer-reviewed dental journals in the last 4 years related with facial and intraoral scanning methods, digital implant scans with photogrammetry systems, virtual patient integration, polymer, metal, and ceramic additive manufacturing technologies, and artificial intelligence for dental applications. 

She currently works as Director of Research and Digital Dentistry at the Kois Center in Seattle and is Affiliate Faculty in the Graduate in Prosthodontic Programs at the University of Washington and Tufts University.
