Laze Tripkov gained his MA at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw (graphic design department) at 2002. The same year he began his post-master studies at the Academy of Fine Arts in Lodz, Poland at the department of Multimedia and Design. In 2003 as a Fulbright PhD scholar initiates a research related to the role of the symbols and iconography of the Balkan region.
His works have been shown at 5 solo and more than 50 group exhibitions of graphic design, posters worldwide (Warsaw, Moscow, Lahti, Paris, New York, Mexico, Sofia, Zagreb, Belgrade, Prague, China, etc.) Holds a honourable award of the AUG Czech Association of Graphic Design.
Member of ICO-D; programme committee of Warsaw Poster Biennale; Creative Business Cup, ICDEE-A, co-founder of Skopje Design Week and partner till 2013. Program director of Skopje Creative Festival, and national coordinator for creative industries at the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Macedonia til 2017 and consultant for World Bank PRODE programme in Montenegro.
Since the 2007, he has curated, organised and carried out more than 50 social design and visual communication projects and exhibitions. He participated in many conferences around Europe, held lectures and workshops, served as an international juror to many European and worldwide design related events, renewed festivals, competitions and conferences. Former vice dean at the Faculty of Design and multimedia, UDG at Podgorica, Montenegro since 2013 till 2016. Former director of the Museum of Contemporary Arts in Skopje (April 2016-August 2017). Works as an Associate professor at the Faculty of Art and Design at International Balkan University in Skopje.
I started a series of posts/posters "Creative Advantages" during isolation mood, which i refer to them as "shapes of personal thoughts". I write what happens with/to me that day and latter interpreted thru design. This whole quarantine is affecting us in a different way, but for an artist it is upmost to be clear in his thought, idea and execution so it could contribute to a community, surrounding and even the wider audience . The reactions from people were very positive, they started to recognise themselves and identified with them. my personal thoughts probably helped them to absolve the reality thru art, to accept mind objects as a mirror of them. to be honest, I did not expect that much.
