Rama Gheerawo is an international and inspirational figure within design. He is a serial innovator in the fields of Inclusive Design, Design Thinking and Creative Leadership having personally led over 100 projects working internationally with governments, business, academia and the third sector. He won a ‘Hall of Fame’ award for his work at the Design Week Awards in 2019 and was named a 2018 Creative Leaders by Creative Review alongside Paul Smith and Björk, Empathy is at the heart of his practice. As Director of the Helen Hamlyn Centre for Design, he uses design to address society’s toughest issues from ageing and healthcare, to ability and diversity. He looks at how to instigate positive change in individuals and organisations through personal research in Creative Leadership, with workshops delivered globally to thousands of people including 700 civil servants. He is in high demand as a keynote speaker, and writes, curates exhibitions and runs workshops for audiences that range from students to business executives. Rama sits on a number of advisory boards and committees for awards, universities and organisations such as the UK Design Council, The International Association for Universal Design, UX India, the Design Management Institute and the Design Intelligence Awards. He has worked as a Visiting Professor at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts and the Katowice Academy of Fine Art.

Graphic designer and educator with more than 15 years of experience in her field, Natalia has a bachelor’s degree in Graphic Communication Design and a master’s degree in Science and Arts for Design from the Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana, and a Ph.D. in Arts Education from the University of Victoria.

Natalia has shared her original design process and vision in conferences and workshops around the world, including Mexico, Canada, Finland, Ghana, Egypt, Ecuador and Argentina. Her work has won numerous awards, has been exhibited in more than 100 locations and published in numerous magazines, websites and books.

She is co-founder of Poster Poster, a virtual community that celebrates the power and influence of posters in our culture. Her interest in contemporary social issues has been a key element in Natalia's work, which emphasizes the importance of considering design in its historical, social and cultural context. She worked as a consultant for the international non-profit Poster for Tomorrow in Paris and co-created the Green Streets Game, a collaborative game for community engagement in Vancouver. This year, in co-authorship with Professor Scott Laserow, Natalia will launch her first international book Making Posters, from Concept to Design, published by Bloomsbury, UK.

Natalia currently teaches at the OST Micromedia program at Vanier College in Montreal, Canada and works as a virtual professor for CETYS University in Ensenada, Mexico.

Laze Tripkov gained his MA at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw (graphic design department) at 2002. The same year he began his post-master studies at the Academy of Fine Arts in Lodz, Poland at the  department of Multimedia and Design. In 2003 as a Fulbright PhD scholar initiates a research related to the role of the symbols and iconography of the Balkan region.

His works have been shown at 5 solo and more than 50 group exhibitions of graphic design, posters worldwide (Warsaw, Moscow, Lahti, Paris, New York, Mexico, Sofia, Zagreb, Belgrade, Prague, China, etc.) Holds a honourable award of the AUG Czech Association of Graphic Design.

Member of ICO-D; programme committee of Warsaw Poster Biennale; Creative Business Cup, ICDEE-A, co-founder of Skopje Design Week and partner till 2013. Program director of Skopje Creative Festival, and national coordinator for creative industries at the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Macedonia til 2017 and consultant for World Bank PRODE programme in Montenegro.

Since the 2007, he has curated, organised and carried out more than 50 social design and visual communication projects and exhibitions. He participated in many conferences around Europe, held lectures and workshops, served as an international juror to many European and worldwide design related events, renewed festivals, competitions and conferences. Former vice dean at the Faculty of Design and multimedia, UDG at Podgorica, Montenegro since 2013 till 2016. Former director of the Museum of Contemporary Arts in Skopje  (April 2016-August 2017). Works as an Associate professor at the Faculty of Art and Design at International Balkan University in Skopje.

I started a series of posts/posters "Creative Advantages" during isolation mood, which i refer to them as "shapes of personal thoughts". I write what happens with/to me that day and latter interpreted thru design. This whole quarantine is affecting us in a different way, but for an artist it is upmost to be clear in his thought, idea and execution so it could contribute to a community, surrounding and even the wider audience . Louise O’Boyle is Acting Head of Belfast School of Art, Ulster University and Secretary of GLADHE, the UK-based Group for Learning in Art & Design in Higher Education. Supporting the learning of students both inside and outside of the studio has been a key driver in the evolution of her research, leadership and teaching practices over the past two decades.  Her pedagogical research focuses on the construction of value-based praxis in Art and Design Higher Education learning and teaching.
Louise’s arts practice focuses on the interdependent relationship between emotional and physical wellbeing. Current work includes challenging attitudes towards mental ill health and the promotion of emotional wellbeing through socially engaged research and an eclectic practice of animations, performance and sculpture. In tandem, she is passionate about creating visual narratives informed by bioethical discourses on end of life care in the articulation of patient narratives as they live through the process of dying.

Frank Peters  FCSD CDir FIoD Chief Executive of the Chartered Society of Designers and The Register of Chartered Designers Honorary Secretary Prince Philip Designers Prize

As Chief Executive of the Chartered Society of Designers (CSD) since 2001, Frank has applied his vast experience of design and commerce to running CSD, developing its strategy and designing and developing international initiatives in support of its members and the profession.
Frank trained as an exhibition designer at a polytechnic and on leaving in 1976 got a job in a display company later moving to a large international exhibition contractor. Within two years of study he had set up his own consultancy encompassing exhibition, interior, graphic, advertising and branding design working extensively for UK and international motor companies designing stands at European Motor Shows. The development of a language consultancy increased international work and the company was appointed to provide all translation and interpretation for the duration of the channel tunnel project working with the designers and engineers.
However, he is most proud of his work at the Society which includes; supporting graduates ‘From Learning to Earning’™ with the design and development of an international accreditation programme for design courses with some 70 courses from 6 countries participating, the design and development of a framework for professional design practice across all disciplines known as CPSK™, working with the Society’s Patron HRH The Duke of Edinburgh to take over the management of the Prince Philip Design Prize and to set up an award for students in his name, and most importantly the work to design and develop a chartership for designers and gaining Royal powers to set up a unique register and award the title of Chartered Designer. As Frank says, ‘At last there is recognition of the profession of design with a universally accepted status of chartership aligned to the other professions such as architecture, accountancy and law’.
Frank has been a regular visitor to China since 2003 giving talks and representing the UK design profession which led to curating the London Design Pavilion at Shenzhen Design Week in 2019.

Tea Uglow has worked at Google for over 12 years, starting Google’s Creative Lab in Europe and, since 2012, building a Creative Lab for the Asia Pacific region in Sydney, Australia.  She works with cultural organisations and practitioners to enable artists, writers and performers to look at new ways in which we can use digital technology to augment traditional art, theatre and music.

Uglow believes that by experimenting with digital tools at the creative core of culture we can transform existing cultural practice without losing the tradition, values and intangible qualities that make the arts so valuable. Previous projects include Editions at Play, which won a 2018 Peabody award for digital storytelling, Belongings with SBS, Oracles with Punchdrunk, Amaravati with the British Museum,  Hangouts in History (education),  Dream40 with the RSC, buildwithchrome.com (LEGO), Web Lab with London's Science Museum,  Life in a Day a YT film with Ridley Scott and the YouTube Symphony Orchestra (with the LSO), she is proud of her early involvement in the Art Project (now Google's Cultural Institute) .

Tea speaks on innovation and digital futures around the world. (Her 2015 talk for TEDx Sydney has had over 1.5 million views).  In 2018 she was D&AD’s Digital Jury President, and sat on the Cannes Glass Lion jury. She is a member of AGI (Alliance Graphique International), the ABC Arts Advisory Panel, and the Science Gallery Leonardo Group. She has sat on the board of directors for the Biennale of Sydney; D&AD; and AWARD.

Tea studied Fine Art at the Ruskin in Oxford, before completing two further degrees in Book Arts and Design Management at UAL. She spent 6 years in arts publishing and design management for charities as well as in various digital start-ups joining Google in 2006. Prior to Google, Tea worked for the Royal Academy of Arts, the Wellcome Trust, Random House and Christian Aid. 

Tea is also a very active and proud parent of two small boys. She lives in Sydney, Australia.

Derek Jones is a Senior Lecturer in Design at The Open University (UK) and part of the OU Design Group. He is a member of the team responsible for U101: Design Thinking, the award-winning entry-level design course for the university’s Design and Innovation degree. His main research interests are: the pedagogy of design and creativity, embodied cognition in physical and virtual environments, and theories of design knowledge. Derek is a qualified architect with 15 years of experience in the construction design and procurement industries and is the Convenor of the Design Research Society’s Pedagogy special interest group.

Richard trained in art at four different art schools. In the early 90’s he became fascinated by computers and became a pioneering computer artist and award-winning teacher of art and music.

Since then he has applied his art and creativity to solving tech problems for large business and has been a pioneer in interactive TV, made games, worked as a programmer, creative director, head of digital and highly successful independent enterprise consultant at many companies including Microsoft XBox, BBC, BSkyB, Aviva and The Royal Shakespeare Company.

In education, he created a digital arts department at the London College of Music (TVU), co-founded and was Principal at the School of Communication Arts. He has taught creativity, art and technology at UWL(TVU),  Birkbeck College, London College of Fashion, School of Communication Arts, and he held a visiting Professorship at Salford University. He is currently Visiting Senior Fellow at the University of Lincoln.

He is a BAFTA member, a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts and member of the Society of Authors. He is currently the chair of trustees at the educational  charity, Professors Without Borders. He has spoken at dozens of conferences, written and published books/contributed chapters, has written in many magazines. He co-hosts the TECHnique podcasts of interviews with artists who use technology. He writes and records electronic chamber music and has completed a number of albums.

Joan Quirós is an independent calligrapher and lettering artist based in Valencia, Spain, where he works for the rest of the world.
As a letterforms enthusiast, he started to get interested in them during his teenage years, passion which became reinforced in the course of the Graphic Design Degree which he studied in his home town.
He also has great respect for the historical tradition of writing and lettering, paying special attention to the details on their shapes, creating a nexus between the past and the present, applying his contemporary perspective and personal background on each of the projects he develops.
His skills have allowed him to help brands, institutions and companies of international trajectory to improve their communication with their customers through letterforms in the fields of advertising, editorial design, packaging and corporate identity, as well as the execution of exclusive and custom commissions.

Besides his commercial work, he also teaches calligraphy and lettering at different masters in design and illustration, as well as workshops in different cities.
