Kevin Kaufmann of the Kevin & Fred Podcast joins me again for the second week to finish our discussion on the business side of being a real estate agent. We also discuss what the future looks like for real estate agents, the services they will provide and how they will get paid.
Also, I discuss real estate agents filing restrictions on properties requiring the owner to use the agent to sale the house now or in the future. Is it legal?

What is your "why"? You have to have a "why", your reason that people should use you as their real estate agent instead of one of the other 40,000 agents in your market. If you don't know your "why", how does the consumer?
Mike Cuevas, the often irreverent and funny Real Estate Marketing Dude, joins Dishin' Dirt to teach you how to find your "why" and how to sale without selling. He is absolutely spot on and equally hilarious.
Also, in this episode I examine a worrisome trend in some listings on MLS.

The myth in business is that Netflix killed Blockbuster. The reality is Blockbuster failed because they refused to listen to their customers. The customers wanted streaming. Blockbuster tried to convince the consumers they were wrong. And they failed.
In real estate we are primed for a disrupter in the marketplace. Over the years we have seen disruptions in real estate in the form of the internet, social media, video and Zillow. So what is next? But more importantly, are you going to be like every other agent or are you going to be a disrupter and become the next "Top Agent". One thing every top agent has in common is they disrupted the market in some form. If you want to be a top agent you can't keep doing it the same way as everyone else. Now is the time to change and take a chance at being a disrupter.

A Spring Break Special. I take a break today from real estate and bring you something different.
What an honor it is to have actress Arischa Conner on Dishin' Dirt.
Arischa, a Columbia native, stars in the Hulu Limited Series, Dopesick starring Michael Keaton. The drama series documents the introduction of OxyContin into our communities and how Perdue Pharma knew that the medicine was addictive. The series will absolutely piss you off but it is important to be watched.
Arischa dishes dirt on working with Michael Keaton and what she has learned from starring in the series.
