DIVE INTO REIKI ROUND TABLE—THE ART OF WRITING REIKI BOOKS
Today we have three amazing Reiki teachers and authors: Nicholas Pearson, author of books like Foundations Of Reiki Ryoho: A Manual Of Shoden And Okuden and Crystals for Karmic Healing; Frans Stiene, author of The Inner Heart of Reiki, Reiki Insights & The Way of Reiki; and Elise Brenner,  co-author of Reiki: A Self-Practice To Live in Peace with Self and Others. We discuss what inspires them, their writing styles, and how, like most things Reiki, writing a great  book rests on a strong daily practice.

Nicholas Pearson has been a practitioner of Usui Reiki Ryoho since 2006 and has received initiation and training in a variety of Reiki lineages, including Jikiden Reiki, Usui Shiki Ryoho, Usui/Tibetan Reiki, and Komyo ReikiDo. Frans Stiene has been a major influence on global research into the system of Reiki since the early 2000s. His practical understanding of the Japanese influences on the system has allowed students around the world to connect deeply with this practice. Frans is a co-founder of the International House of Reiki and Shibumi International Reiki Association with Bronwen Logan. Elise Brenner, PhD, is a Reiki master, mindfulness meditation teacher, and assistant professor in the Department of Public Health & Sociology at Simmons University in Boston. EPISODE 25: LIAD HOROWITZ
Based in Israel, Liad became a Reiki Master in 2001. He received a Master’s degree in East Asian Studies from Tel Aviv University in Israel. His Master's thesis concentrates on the esoteric roots of Reiki. During his study, he compared and analyzed Reiki initiations from around the world to reveal a pattern apparent in all initiations. As a doctoral student writing his dissertation, he lives in Israel with his wife and two children. He also is active in the Israeli Reiki Association.

Based in Munich, Silke Kleemann is a certified naturopath in the field of psychotherapy and is trained in Hakomi, mindfulness-based psychotherapy, and teaches meditation and Jikiden Reiki. She published a children’s book in 2015 and has two young adult novels in the pipeline.

Amanda Jayne currently lives in Kent, South East England, where she writes children's books, travel books and is currently writing about her pilgrimage experience. Amanda teaches Jikiden Reiki and gives treatments, offers Heart Circle coaching, and can frequently be found practicing taichi or swimming in the sea. She lived in Kyoto, Japan, for five years, where she learned Reiki with Chiyoko Yamaguchi and her son, Tadao, and moved to the USA in 2006, where she gained a master's in Spiritual Psychology. In 2009 Amanda walked a solo pilgrimage around 88 temples on the island of Shikoku.

EPISODE 23: JOJAN JONKER
Jojan became Reiki Master and developed a particular interest in spirituality in general and mysticism. In 2010, he graduated in Interreligious Spirituality from the Radboud University in the Netherlands. He continued in 2011 as an external Ph.D. candidate as a both-sider: Reiki practitioner and academic scholar. In 2016, he finished his doctoral study on the migration of Reiki (a Japanese spiritual healing practice) to the West. Jojan took on his doctoral degree in the field of Religious Studies. His research interest includes Eastern traditions emerging in the West, spirituality, spiritual practices, complementary and alternative medicine (CAM), healing, and mysticism.

João Magakhães is a Reiki Master teacher and the President of the Portuguese Reiki Association, which he founded in 2008 and has become one of the most relevant in Europe. He is the author of numerous Reiki books such as O grande livro do Reiki, Reiki: Guia para Uma Vida feliz, and Reiki: Energia Universal.
João and his wife also spearhead a number of volunteering initiatives such as teaching Reiki to people with special needs and pairing them to offer Reiki to the elderly and offering Reiki at schools.

ANYA VAN TIL
Anya van Til is a Reiki practitioner and Teacher since 2004. First based in Moscow, Russia, later on in the Netherlands, where she is currently active as Reiki Aikido Meditation. Anya first got her master title in Usui Reiki Ryoho in Moscow with the teacher and author N. Balanovskaya. After moving to the Netherlands, she deepened her practice through constant studies and retreats with Frans Stiene, world-renowned teacher, author, and founder of the International House of Reiki.

 In 2018, Anya became one of the few female Reiki masters who went to Japan to experience the spiritual roots of Reiki directly. She visited the Shugendo training grounds, participating in Goma (fire) ritual and the Takigyo (waterfall) practice. She offers Reiki sessions, Reiki training, and Japanese meditation classes to groups and individuals in  Winterswijk (Netherlands).

Hi Divers! This is a different kind of episode. Instead of an interview with a Reiki master, I am being interviewed by Christian from the Reiki Business Collective.

We chat about how to define your Reiki business proposition in order to reach the people you want to serve with your practice.  The business side of Reiki is one aspect many of us struggle with, yet there is little Reiki-specific training and information about it. Often we adapt techniques to market other modalities like Life Coaching, which is, honestly, a completely different ball game.
