A series of three calls came into Walker County 9-1-1 the afternoon of October 3, 2016. The caller said a man shot himself and they needed an ambulance. A woman can be heard wailing and screaming in the background …she’s hysterical. An officer arrives on scene shortly after the third call was finished, and an investigation ensued. However, according to the victim’s family, a bungled investigation, misinformation in official reports, lying witnesses and the fact that all witnesses, and the victim, were drug users …led to an incorrect determination of the manner of death.
