On this episode of the podcast is sit down with a good friend of mine Connor Freaon a few days after he was able to claim his first elite men’s national downhill title.
Connor and I have been racing a ride together for over 15 years now, we’ve pushed each other not only as competitors but also as team mates for a brief time on Kona back in 2011-2012.
Connor has always been at the top of Aussie Downhill, even back at the age of 14 he was already at the pointy end of the elite field.
Battling with Troy Brosnan from the age of 11 they have both lifted each other to become two of the best mountain bikers in the world. We go in-depth into what it’s been like battling with someone for so many years and how its grown the both of them as riders and people.
He also goes into some simple tips to help you improve as a rider and racer.
If you want to see more of what Connor is up to you'll be able to find him. at: @connorahoyhoy

We have a really good laugh on this podcast and go into some old stories back when we were at each other’s throat to now being best of friends.

On this episode of the podcast I sit down with the most influential person in my life, my dad, Rex Lucas.
Dads lived a pretty crazy life, from inventing saw mills and traveling all around the world to sell them to building and flying helicopters just for the fun of it.
He’s been the most giving person and also the harshest at the same time and has definitely built me into a person I can say I’m happy to be.
Love ya Dad.
Enjoy girls and guys.

Rhys is hands down one of the nicest guys out there and along with his team at Maydena bike park they have been putting on amazing events and building back up mountain biking in Australia.
Rhys has had a lot of twist and turns to get him where he is today, from competing chasing a free ride dream to then getting invested in the coaching side of things and now becoming an event organiser on a large scale Rhys has been involved in many different roles in the industry so it was cool to sit down and pick his brain on then past, present and future.
