Today we are going to go over something that I get asked a lot in my Facebook group and through email… really through email and that is whether or not you should open a second shop on Etsy. People ask me this question alot especially when they're first getting started.

I wanted to do this as a podcast because it's kind of hard for me to give up a really quick answer when people email me. Also, I wanted to be able to have this episode so I could talk about this subject and really dive into my feelings about having two shops and all of that.

• Why people think that they should open up a second shop
• Few reasons why I don't recommend or encourage Etsy sellers to open more than one shop:

1. it gets really kind of difficult to manage
2. it really spreads you too thin
3. it becomes this noble distraction that prevents you from taking any action to move forward

• What you should do if you have all these different products and all these different ideas that don't relate to each other
• The value of thinking from a business perspective and focusing on those ones that makes sense to sell as a business

Don't spread yourself so thin by opening up a second shop and trying to be everywhere and do everything to everybody.
