Join Caroline Wilson and Corrie Perkin for Ep 120 ‘It Could Be Worse. . .We Could Be Homeschooling!’ with a special appearance by Caro's daughter Clem Donohoe.
Caro and Corrie discuss their latest coronavirus crisis concerns and come up with 10+ Ways to Say Happy in Isolation.
1. Don’t spend all day in your tracksuits – get up and dressed, and dress for dinner. Stick to a routine
2. Read books – use technology to chat about books with friends and family.
3. Save the money you used to spend on coffee
4. Talk to your family as much as you can – if you’re not living with them. Facetime as often as you can. A quick check in helps you through the day.
5. Master technology. Get over your issues with technology and embrace it – you’ll need it.
6. Stay fit and stay healthy – do yoga at home. Go for a long walk if you can.
7. One good turn every day – just a simple act of kindness each day
8. Donate food and products to charity if you can
9. Eat healthy and drink lots of water
10. Don’t look at the news too much.
11. Reorganise your photos, digital images and albums
12. Get crafty!
13. Set up a mini golf putting course around the house
Caro reflects on the strangeness of Round 1 of the AFL season (ie playing without crowds) and updates us on the latest from AFL House where some 80% of staff have been laid off for at least two months.
Corrie’s ‘Crush of the Week’ is for the army of health workers, doctors and nurses who are putting their lives on the line each day just by going to work.
It’s a comfort focused list on BSF as we talk about comforting books to read, shows to watch and food to cook (see the list and recipes below).
Caro’s grumpy that the advice is to avoid iced drinks due to coronavirus – goodbye G&T!
In ‘6 Quick Questions’ Caro talks about working with Eddie McGuire, Corrie shares the Top 10 Best Selling Books in Australia (see list below), we pay tribute to Kenny Rogers and more.
