Place scones on the tray and brush them with egg wash.
Put them in a hot oven on 180 degrees and bake for 12 minutes with no fan.

This week Caro and Brendan share a few secrets to their successful marriage and Brendan also gives us his perspective on the federal election and the remarkable win by Tiger Woods at the US Masters.
Corrie's been studying up for her 'Goal of the Month' by reading all about veggie growing, she recommends Growing Food The Italian Way by Fabian Capamolla. Caro's thrilled with all of the Quince Tart recipes she's received from poddies (see Geoff Slattery's recipe below).

Call 1800 i BENCH. When you want to take your staff team to the top, recruit at interchangebench.com.au.

In Book, Screen and Food Caro's been reading an oldie but a goodie. . .High Fidelity by Nick Hornby, Caro and Corrie have both been to the movies to see The Aftermath  and Caro shares a quince tart recipe.  It's a big welcome to our new sponsor for BSF VitalSmarts. In '6 Quick Questions' we touch on Julian Assange, debate the merits of light or dark chocolate and question electioneering continuing on Good Friday.
    Slatt's Quince Tart
Squeeze three lemons through a sieve into a glass bowl. Peel the quinces (around four). You can be rough (don't panic if there's a little skin left on). Slice quinces of quince away from the core and toss immediately in the lemon juice (so they don't go too brown). Add 50-80g of sugar (depending on how many quinces). Cook in the microwave until quinces are tender to the knife (12-15minutes - check as you go). Mix with a wooden spoon after 5 minutes.
Bake a blind tart shell - one you are comfortable with (ie you favourite store bought or home made tart pastry). Drain the cooked quinces and layer the quince pieces on the base of the pastry, packing them tightly.
Bake again for 15 minutes at 180 degrees C.
