Doopy Brothers Podcast

We are kicking off the new year right with really fun episode. Starting off with some discussion on the Union's new signing, some jersey leak talk, as well as Union goals for the new year. Technically for the second time but first for you all, we interviewed photographer and student, Morgan Tencza, who has basically photographed all of the biggest soccer names that were in America this past year, including Phang. Morgan shared some really cool stories from her experiences and leave us and any soccer fans super jealous of what she has gotten to do.

A few weeks ago we got to sit down with some of the coolest Union content providers at Sofive in Elkins Park to meet and discuss the Union and play some pick up soccer as well. This episode is a recording of that day and we put together a little game we called the "Doopy Debates" for everyone that led to some really fun and interesting conversations.

Thanks to everyone who came out to join us for this!

Once again, we are recording with little Union news to talk about but we have an awesome interview with the PA announcer of Talen Energy Stadium, Kevin Casey! Before we get to the interview, we discuss the latest Union rumor about a possible Haris replacement and the newly rebranded Union II... safe to say you can probably just fast forward to the interview, Kevin was amazing to talk to.

In this episode we create some sort of discussion on the sparse Union news. The new Bimbo sponsorship created lots of opinions so we get into that as well as where a few of our boys in blue landed in the 22 Under 22 list that was recently released.

The main takeaway from this episode was our interview with Mike and Ezra, Sons of Ben members from Tallahassee, FL. They were really great and gave us some fun stories

While we still wait for actual Union news, we make up rumors that have no weight to discuss. Theres conversations about MLS Cup and Earnie Stewart/USMNT but the main event of this episode is the second half were we got to talk to Jeffrey Mitchell, King of Posidelphia. The talk with Jeff was great and so inspirational in hearing how passionate he is about supporting the Union and soccer in Philadelphia.

The Sons of Ben Help Kick Hunger event that Jeff talks about is coming up, more info in the link below:

As we dip our toes into Union offseason discussion, we go over the current player contract statuses in the first half of this episode. Also, we talk about the team's depth, what to do at the number 6 position going into the next season and AJ's lack of interest in this year's MLS Cup.

To start our offseason of interviews, we were lucky to have our buddy Zac Richman, a huge Union fan living in Lynchburg, VA, on to discuss his story of becoming a Union fan and his perspective on what the Union need to do this offseason. It was a fun conversation and one all Union fans will enjoy.
