WTMJ host Steve Scaffidi was joined on the phone by political writer James Wigderson and they began by discussing election day for the Wisconsin State Supreme Court and State Superintendent among other more local elections and where the Supreme Court race specifically stands this morning. This included the amount of investment U.S. President Donald Trump and Elon Musk put into Waukesha County Judge Brad Schimel's campaign.
-Speaking of Musk, they talked about the rally he held in Green Bay to support the Schimel campaign where he gave a million dollars to two random attendees that voted for Schimel and what this says about the state of elections and buying votes. They also gave their predictions for the recent and its aftermath.
Steve Scaffidi was joined in-studio by Urban Milwaukee President Jeramey Jannene to talk about two local elections that he had been tracking on this Election Day which included a Milwaukee Common Council seat vacated by the later Jonathan Brostoff and one Milwaukee Public Schools school board seat; Jeramey described the candidates.
-They next discussed the $394 million that the city of Milwaukee received from the federal government for a city “transformation fund” that the Common Council would be voting on the following day.
-Steve then asked Jeramey about Milwaukee County Executive David Crowley’s State of the County address as well as what else Jeramey was working on.
Fellow WTMJ host Kristin Brey joined Steve Scaffidi to talk about the Milwaukee Brewers’ home opener and the state-wide elections in Wisconsin on this Election Day.
