Elevating Women's Voices Through Story with April Adams Pertuis

Listen Later

I first met today’s guest, April Adams Pertuis, in an online community for female entrepreneurs.  She was an award-winning journalist for many years, before deciding to take her skills online to reach as many people as possible.

April believes every woman has a story to tell and it’s her mission to teach them how.  There are so many fears to be identified and overcome, but there is so much power in our stories and when we share them, we inspire others to do the same.

If you struggle with fear of being seen,  rejection sensitivity,  imposter syndrome or the belief that your story doesn’t matter,  pull up your chair and turn up the volume.  This one’s for you!

Here are the highlights of our conversation:

  • The importance of women's stories
  • How to get more women to share their story
  • How to get “unstuck” in a story
  • How to look for stories in our everyday life

This week’s Pod Praise comes from Cher Kretz who writes: “As a woman who is driven, I am so glad I found this podcast. I can get powered up real fast and get out there, ready to make it happen! Thank you so much.” Thank you Cher for this thoughtful review. Cher is a counselor, coach and  the host of the Parenting 2.0 The Focused Mindset Podcast
