Today I'm joined by Elliot Hind, who is 1/3 of the team who form the race organisers for the MK5000 PB Special.
A 5000m track race which enables athletes to compete against others gunning for a similar time.
They had a very successful first 2 years on the track, but like everything else, Covid decided to upset their plans for the third event.
Rather than waiting until next year, the guys changed the format and took to the roads to allow athletes to race again.
Elliot discussed how the idea was born, what it took to get it off the ground and how they've adapted the track race to the roads and what they had to do to obtain the race licence. We also discussed the future of the event and where he sees it in years to come.
