As someone who is building her business in the online space, you need to be everywhere all the time. In an ever-changing social media world, new trends come and go constantly.

New platforms are developed, created, and rolled out daily. And the early adopters get MASSIVE traction and visibility, because they are paving the way for an entirely new demographic of people to enter into a platform.

And while we may moan and groan about algorithm changes, or the newest social network that we HAVE to be on, or the features that get added or taken away at a moment’s notice, these changes and new trends are actually a really good thing.

Because, it means that there is no one “right” way to do business, especially in the online space. You don’t HAVE to be on Facebook if you don’t want to. Do you HATE Instagram? Don’t be on it.

But do know, and this is the important thing here, that you have the potential to NOT find your ideal client by not hanging out in established or even new social media networks. I think we can all get behind the idea that we need to put blinders on and stay in our lane, but I also think we can all get behind that early adaptors, win.

In today’s episode I want to work through three things NOT to do if you want to use your Facebook Group to grow your business. Time and time again women come to me telling me that their Facebook Group is dead, or that their ideal client isn’t even on Facebook. And if that’s you, I have some tough love for you. The reason why your Facebook Group isn’t working for you, is YOU. And so today I want you start to unpack this a bit and show you that a Facebook Group can be an amazing lead generation tool, when done correctly.

My point of view with Facebook Groups is that they are beneficial for all online entrepreneurs. Facebook is the world’s largest social media network and with 2.2 BILLION users it’s not going anywhere anytime soon, so odds are that your ideal client is on Facebook. Again, it’s a matter of using your Group strategically and intentionally to grow your business.

Oftentimes, as the expert in the room, it can be hard to listen to our Group members, but it’s imperative to our Group’s success. You need to talk with your Group members, not at them.

One of the common points of confusion for online entrepreneurs are Facebook Pages vs. Facebook Groups!

What’s the point of a Facebook Group?
Is having both going to be a TON of work?

How are they different?

Facebook Pages and Facebook Groups are two very different tools within Facebook’s platform that work in two very different ways. The strategy behind each tool needs to be different because of the unique qualities that each have. The disconnect between the function of Pages vs. Groups is just that, the strategy! Most online entrepreneurs spin their wheels thinking that Facebook Pages and Groups just aren’t for them and their business because they lack an effective strategy for taking those audiences and turning them into leads.

Do you have a hard time saying “NO”?

If you do, I want you to know that I do too! As an enneagram 9w8 I’m a people pleaser, but I immediately regret and resent you (the person I pleased) for me saying yes to you.

Totally rational and fair, right?! *insert eye roll*

But in our businesses, and our personal lives for that matter, saying “NO” has to be done. By saying “YES” all the time to everything and everyone it’s a drain. And if you’re showing up to serve your clients or even your family, drained, I’d argue you’re doing them a HUGE disservice and those two groups of people deserve your best.

By saying “NO” to things that don’t 100% serve you, you are saying “YES” to your goals, your future, and your expertise.

I view saying "NO" as a revenue-producing activity!

In today’s episode I’m going to walk you through the questions you need to be asking yourself when considering what to say “YES” to and what to say “NO” to in your business.

Today I have the pleasure of interviewing published author, certified keynote speaker, transformational life coach, and Licensed Professional Counselor Wendie Lloyd.

But most importantly her greatest joys are her two sons Justin and Andrew.

Wendie believes that we have all been created for a unique purpose and when we align our Mind, Body and Soul to that purpose we can attain fulfillment and abundance in all aspects of our lives. It is often through our pain that we grow the most and with clarity and focus we can turn that pain into purpose.

There is no obstacle too large that we can’t overcome and experience pure joy and achieve the vision we have for our lives. Leaving a legacy for our children and grandchildren as well.
