Could Psychedelics be the future of mental health treatment and healing? Controversial, yes, but certainly worth exploration. 

What appears to be true is that in recent decades, mental health throughout the world has been on the decline and what also appears to be true is that much of what is being done to resolve the issue is not working very well. 

Luckily mental health is finally getting the recognition and attention it deserves. 

While traditional prescription medications seem to be the norm, are they truly helping to heal or just cope with past traumas, anxiety, and depression? Is the best strategy to improving people’s mental health for them to be numb to their feelings and to merely treat their symptoms for life? 

Our guest today on the Strong By Design podcast is Jose Munoz Aycart, co-founder of Wondermed. Jose and his team are attempting to go further than standard treatments for anxiety, depression, PTSD, and other similar mental health concerns with the goal of alleviating the symptoms of psychological distress.
