Biz and Theresa discuss family scheduling. Once all of the basics are set, like school/daycare drop offs and pick ups, work, doctor appointments and groceries, adding extra activities like classes and play dates is enough to make us want to go out for milk and never come home. Whether our kids thrive on doing many activities or we subscribe to “not over-scheduling kids,” a lot of brain space is taken up just by getting everyone where they need to be. Don’t forget to schedule time to do the scheduling! Plus, Biz is quarantined, Theresa is left to pick up all the pieces and we talk to Jennifer Traig about the absurdity of parenting norms, and her book, Act Natural: A Cultural History of Misadventures in Parenting.
Jennifer Traig’s book, Act Natural: A Cultural History of Misadventures in Parenting, is out now.
