It has been a huge week for the U.S. Supreme Court as it heard two of the biggest cases of the year. Their decisions will help dictate the future of free speech and voting for all Americans.
One major case involves a Colorado web designer who wants to refuse to work for same-sex couples over religious beliefs. It goes against the state’s anti-discrimination law. (303 Creative LLC v. Elenis)
The second big case this week featured Republican legislators in North Carolina asking the high court to grant them unrestricted power to set rules for voting and elections. They believe they should be able to do so without oversight by courts or the governor. It could dramatically alter how elections are conducted in the U.S. (Moore v. Harper)
Mosheh conducted Instagram Lives this week with Sharon McMahon aka @sharonsaysso, who closely watches the court, to break down the arguments and take viewer questions on Tuesday and Wednesday. This episode features highlights from each conversation.
