It's a hard pill to swallow when you spend time and resources on a project or idea only to have it fail. The truth is, business failures abound in the TpT world--we just don't hear about them all. I used to scrap things altogether when they didn't work out, but I've learned so many times that a failed plan often grows into an even better one in its place.
