We speak with Richard McCann who's life story is both heart-rending and uplifting. Richard suffered an extremely traumatic childhood following losing his mother Wilma McCann at the early age of 5 after she was murdered by serial killer, Peter Sutcliffe, AKA 'The Yorkshire Ripper'. Richard talks us through his upbringing where he spent his childhood years living on the bread line on a council estate, violent father and no mother. His early life experiences continued to affect him and consequently saw him go to prison for 6 months for drug related offences. Following his release, his sister Sonia almost ended up following his footsteps after she stabbed her boyfriend in self defence, which lead McCann to his pivotal moment that he says 'changed his life' where he decided to write a book about his life experiences. After losing his sister a few years later in 2007 to suicide, Richard fell into his reoccurring suicidal thoughts that he says he first experienced as a child. 

After overcoming so much pain and suffering from his early life, Richard has since gone on to find success as a motivational speaker, professional speaker, inspirational speaker and keynote speaker.
