Scott and I have an ethically non-monogamous partnership.

I’d classify it as polyamorous. We also have a closed triad, meaning that we only have s*x with 1 person that joins us in the bedroom. Lastly, we only sleep with women.

Our dynamic (what you’d call the way we operate as a couple) is pretty narrow in terms of what you’ll find in the Lifestyle, but that’s another topic for another day.

Our girlfriend and I were in the kitchen last weekend, and we started talking about WHY she chose to have s*x with couples vs. stay monogamous, as well as what makes a couple worth having and keeping a “third”.

We discuss being a “third” by referencing terminology like “unicorn” or “bluefish” as well.
