Episode Eleven features Amy Birkenstamm, RN, CANS - Founder and Clinical Director at Glo Derma in Yardley, PA.
Amy started Glo Derma after a decade of nursing in the ER with the goal to give everyone the chance to look and feel like their best self. Fast forward from 2017 til now, and she’s built an award-winning medical oasis where her attention to detail has manifested in her branding, her people management, & her strategic growth. Together with her 𝙂𝙡𝙤 𝙎𝙦𝙪𝙖𝙙, she focuses not only on injectables but a complete wellness vertical giving patients a chance to improve their overall health.
What may be most impactful to her success is her approach to onboarding new employees. Her in-house “Residency” program takes every new Provider through a side-by-side training experience that allows Amy to immerse new hires in the Glo Derma way long before they treat their first patient. This helps to ingrain the culture, the treatment approach and the teamwork mantra that has made Glo Derma a success.
Now she’s launching a new training platform, Glo Academy, to share the expertise that has landed her on the Best Injectors in America list and paved the way for a faculty appointment as a as GEN NOW trainer with Galderma. Amy shares her personal reasons for embarking on the journey to bring Provider training in-house and how the business and her involvement is evolving as it matures.
This episode is all about going all in- building empires isn’t for the faint of heart, and Amy shares her journey and lessons learned on the way to top.
