What does it mean to be or feel lost?

The deconstruction of the story into its sensed parts (including thinking) with no assumed continuity or cause and effect.

The connotation of "being lost" is that of being disoriented and that this is a negative thing. Yet it is often the orientation of knowing and of imagining a certain outcome or future where our suffering comes from.
