We are in the thick of the spring real estate market and a lot of home sales are still very competitive. A trend we saw emerge during the hot real estate market over the last two years is buyers skipping their home inspections to try to make their offer more competitive. While we don’t necessarily love that idea, skipping the house inspection might be on the table when you’re buying a new home. That brings us to this week’s guest, we’ve got our favorite local home inspector Gary Christianson of Due North Property Inspections on to chat about what you should look for when walking through homes, what you can do to try to protect yourself, as well as things you should do to help get your home ready for sale.
