Episode 76: How to Schedule for a Resource Room

This week’s episode is part 2 of a 3 part series on how to run a resource room and today we're talking about the HOW  when it comes to planning for and developing a schedule that works for you.

Scheduling for a resource room, when you have so many different moving pieces, can be one of the most frustrating aspects of being a sped teacher. You have to consider...

• Student services and minutes
• General education teacher schedules
• Specials schedules
• Related services
• Dealing with multiple grade levels
• Building routines and policies

And so on and so on!

Within this episode, you will learn you how to schedule for a resource room using a framework that has effectively worked for a department with 2-4 teachers and up to 10 teaching assistants.

And then once you have your schedule just the way you want it (of course you hopefully know it will change like a million times before the school year is over!), I will teach you how to make a cover schedule for when you or one of your teammates are absent.
