Happy Monday and welcome in to Noles News Now, your audio home for all things happening in Florida State athletics on the Tomahawk Nation podcast network. I'm your
host Brian Pellerin on this Monday October 17th. Thanks so much for joining me. I wish I was here with better news from an F-S-U sports weekend, but that's not meant
to be.
Another week turned out, brought another top 15 team to FSU's schedule and another mark in the loss column. This time it was Clemson, putting the blemish on FSU's
record. The Tigers used a huge 17 point rally late in the first half and early in the second to jump out to a big lead and never looked back. The Noles were able
to scrap their way to within 6 but never really threatened to win.
At the game's end Coach Norvell saluted the Clemson run game for the success they found with running back Will Shipley and on designed runs for DJ Uieungalelei, but
the Noles really kept Clemson in check outside of that window around halftime. So is this the beginning of the end of another unsuccessful season in Tallahass?
The Seminole Wrap crew isn't ready to write them off yet despite the 3 game losing streak. So what's gone wrong, what do they need to use the bye week for and how will
they perform the rest of the season? That's all covered on the latest episode available later today.
Next up for FSU is a home game with Georgia Tech in two weeks so they can use the bye to prepare, get some rest and heal up some injured players.
This weekend' game was also massive for the Noles recruiting efforts as football and basketball both had some primetime players on campus. For the latest on those
visits and the inside scoop our crew has on those guys, check out our latest recruiting thread. Our guys do a lot of great work and making sure you've got the latest
details on the recruits that could go a long way to getting FSU back where we want them to be so be sure to give that a read and get involved in the conversation.
Elsewhere on campus, FSU volleyball lost to No. 8 Pittsburgh in straight sets. The baseball team is a week away from their first showcase camp and women's tennis
concluded the ITA regionals with one player advancing to the singles consolation semifinals.
That'll do it for today's Noles News Now. Until Wednesday, I'm Brian Pellerin. Thanks for listening.
