In this episode, we're speaking with Dorothee Sophie Royal from the Moonwise podcast and the author of Rooted, a pregnancy journal honoring the inward path to motherhood, which launched in August 2021.

Dorothee shares how she birthed the Rooted journal from her pregnancy experience - a powerful initiation allowing her to explore shadow parts of life, huge transformation, and journey from maiden to mother. She shares how shame drove her curiosity to explore programming and conditioning related to being pregnant, a sexual being, and a woman, opening up a discussion of my own discovery process of programs related to productivity, worth, energy during my own pregnancy journey.

We talk about the greater impact of our dominant culture on the pregnancy, birthing, & motherhood experience and the lack of support, cycles, and rhythms we are meant to experience.

Dorothee shares lots of sage advice, including ways to call in support in an age of isolation, separation and disconnection. She also talks about her journey with postpartum depression, how the seeds were planted during pregnancy, and her intention to heal herself and offer insight for others.

We get super honest and personal in this episode about our respective journeys in pregnancy, and Dorothee drops so many pearls of wisdom I know will be supportive for you and/or loved one you know!

We talk about why it's easy for people to accept unseen forces at work such as cell phones and internet communication, but have a challenging time "believing" in astrology.

Ace shares how they reconcile a postcolonial astrological framework with the more casual, pop, and less obviously political approach to astrology that's popular within the mainstream. We also get into personal reflections, including my personal Gemini north node experience and Ace's spot-on reflections. Ace has good advice for budding astrologers and astrology enthusiasts that are relevant in these emergent times.

Solstice Blessings, Fam! Today we are talking about the energies and themes of this Summer Solstice, including Cancer season, Jupiter retrograde, the power of solar medicine, and this Strawberry Full Moon in Capricorn this week.
