💻 AI Trade Still Gaining Momentum Despite some predictions that it might roll over, the AI trade is still very much alive. We're still in the early stages, and the technology continues to improve daily. Expect to see more innovation, more adoption, and continued strength across AI-driven sectors.

📈 Risk Assets Are Still On Markets remain favorable for risk assets, and I'm staying invested. The growth environment continues to reward those with a long-term, disciplined strategy.

🏦 Fed Talk: Powell's Final Chapter? It looks like Chair Powell will not get another term. President Trump even weighed in this week — calling him a "nincompoop." There's still debate over whether the Fed will cut rates in December, but either way, the transition to a new Fed Chair next year could bring a fresh approach to monetary policy.

💰 Crypto Corner: What's Happening Now? Many of you have asked about what's going on in cryptocurrency. The big story right now is banks moving toward stablecoins — a digital asset designed to hold a steady value. This could be part of a broader shift toward transferring value without intermediaries, a key principle that crypto has championed from the start.

📉 Fed Update: A Mixed Message The Federal Reserve met this week and, as expected, announced a 0.25% rate cut. Chair Powell came close to going out in style, but his comment that a December rate cut isn't guaranteed took some air out of the markets.

Still, this isn't bad news. A new Fed Chair will take office early next year, and I expect further rate cuts soon after. That means we could see additional opportunities for growth as rates adjust.

🏦 A Quick Refresher: The Fed's Two Jobs 1️⃣ Price Stability — keeping inflation low and steady. 2️⃣ Full Employment — maintaining low unemployment, ideally around 3%.

It's a delicate balance — and how they manage it will shape both the economy and the markets in the months ahead.

Rate Cuts, Risk Assets, and Real Purpose

💵 Now, onto the business of business. A rate cut is coming next week, with another likely before the end of the year — and possibly two more early next year. Mortgage rates could even dip below 5% by buying season.

Why now? It looks like Chairman Powell wants to go out with a bang, and these moves are creating strong momentum in risk assets.

Meanwhile, the U.S. has sanctioned Russian oil and is considering secondary sanctions for countries that buy from them. That will cause some market adjustments, and we may also see increased pressure on China, whose economy remains weak due to tariffs, declining production, and a population crunch.

In a move few believed would ever happen, the U.S. successfully carried out a surprise attack that took out Iran's nuclear site using a decoy operation. The result? A dramatic turn of events across the Middle East. Hamas has lost its support network, Iran's proxy system has been dismantled, and Israeli hostages have been released in powerful reunions that have touched hearts around the world.

Could this be the beginning of peace in the Middle East? With rebuilding already underway in the Gaza Strip, hope is on the horizon.

I'm Back! Welcome to Financial Revelations!

Market Update Wednesday marked a big shift in Federal Reserve policy—the start of rate cuts. Chair Powell announced a 25 basis point reduction, and I expect cuts to continue until his term ends in May.

My take? The Fed was late. They should have begun cutting back in April. Unfortunately, politics have crept into monetary policy, and Powell doesn't want to leave office remembered as the next Arthur Burns.

Looking ahead, I believe we'll see 30-year mortgage rates drop to 5% or below by April/May 2026. That will spark refinancing activity and push markets upward.

Financially speaking, the PPI inflation numbers came in a bit hot, cooling off the idea of aggressive rate cuts. A .50% cut was never really in the cards, but a .25% cut is still likely. Looking ahead, we're preparing for a weak September. David doesn't want to be fully uninvested but does plan to raise a little more cash in portfolios—around 10–12%.
