Sk: Letné slnko sa dotýkalo vysokých okien a odrážalo sa na podlahe ako dlhé tiene.
En: The summer sun touched the tall windows and reflected on the floor like long shadows.
Sk: Bratislavská polícia na druhom poschodí bola v plnom prúde.
En: The Bratislava police on the second floor were in full swing.
Sk: Telefóny neprestajne zvonili, papiere sa hromadili na stoloch, a ľudia sa ponáhľali sem a tam.
En: Phones rang incessantly, papers piled up on desks, and people hurried back and forth.
Sk: Marek, mladý muž s odhodlaným výrazom, stál v kúte miestnosti.
En: Marek, a young man with a determined expression, stood in the corner of the room.
Sk: Pri ňom sedela jeho sestra Zuzana, oči plné strachu.
En: Beside him sat his sister Zuzana, her eyes full of fear.
Sk: Marek sa snažil získať pozornosť detektívky Petry, ktorá sedela za svojím stolom, prepichujúc ho pohľadom zpod obočia.

En: "Without evidence, there's little I can do," she responded skeptically.
Sk: "Potrebujem niečo konkrétne.
En: "I need something concrete."
Sk: "Zuzana si nervózne hrýzla pery.
En: Zuzana nervously bit her lip.
Sk: "Cítim sa teraz horšie," dodala slabým hlasom.
En: "I'm feeling worse now," she added weakly.
