In this episode, we welcome Kenny Simpson back to the show. He is the HC of the Southside Southerners in Arkansas. They followed up the best season in school history in 2024 with the second-best season in school history this past season.

Eric Pinellas just finished his fifth year as the Head Coach at Osceola High School in Kissimmee, Florida. He has been a coach at the high school he also attended and graduated from for 25 years in total.

As the head FB coach, he has led the Kowboys to four district championships, two regional championships, two final-four appearances, and was the 2024 state runners-up in Florida's largest classification.

Jason Mensing, a state-championship-winning coach from Michigan, recently completed his second season as the varsity football coach at Lemon Bay High School in Englewood, Florida. The Manta Rays finished 4-6. Mensing brought more than 20 years of head coaching experience to Florida in 2023 when he became head coach of the Lemon Bay Manta Rays, located on Florida’s Gulf coast. He came to Florida after two years as head coach at Westland John Glenn in metro Detroit and following 25 years in education in his home state of Michigan. In 24 seasons as a head coach, Mensing has gone 146-96. He has led five different teams into the state playoffs. In Michigan, he was twice named the Associated Press State Coach of the Year and won 9 regional Coach of the Year awards. He took four different programs with losing records before he arrived and led them into the playoffs in the first or second year. 

His most successful tenure was at Whiteford, in Ottawa Lake, Michigan, where he led the Bobcats to the playoffs a school-record 10 consecutive seasons and to two state championship games, winning the Division 8 state championship in 2017. That season, the Bobcats scored 737 points, the second most in state history.

Mensing, 47, is a native of Tecumseh, Mich. He played college football at Adrian College, where he obtained his bachelor’s degree. In addition to coaching football at the high school and college level, he has coached varsity wrestling and track, served on the Michigan High School Athletic Association Representative Council, and held various teaching positions. He’s also been a strength and conditioning director, athletic director, and director of student development.

Coach Teeks has been coaching high school football since 1991. Throughout his 30+ years of career, he has held various positions, including position coach, coordinator, and head coach, in Ohio and Michigan. He has over 200 wins, including a remarkable 45 playoff wins. Since taking over as the HC at Whiteford in 2022, they have won a Michigan state championship and been the state runner-up, including a perfect 14-0 record in 2022. Before taking over as the Bobcat HC, he was their defensive coordinator and helped them to a state runner-up in 2016 and a state championship in 2017.

His teams are known for their culture of discipline and toughness. His leadership and commitment to excellence have earned him numerous honors, including:

• Multiple Coach of the Year awards

Dave Easton has been coaching at South Jefferson High School in Adams, NY, for the past 13 years.  After playing his high school days in Rochester, NY, he moved to the North Country and had to adapt to the culture of small school football.  In 13 years, he has progressed from Assistant JV to Head JV to Assistant Varsity and back to Head JV, helping to develop the program's young players into serviceable members of the school's varsity team.

Mitch Johnson is our guest on episode 24 of season two. He is the head football coach of the Green Hope Falcons in Cary, NC. Our guest on episode 22 of season two is Dustin Weiss from Clarence, NY, about 30 miles east of Buffalo. Coach Weiss is a youth football coach who used the Gun Power Spread System this past season and had a great year. His team made it to the semifinals of their league's playoffs.

He is a multisport coach who coaches competitive travel soccer as well as youth football. He has been coaching for a total of 20 years, with the last eight years focusing on tackle football.

His day has him being a data consultant for a large insurance consulting firm. He spends his days coaching clients on how to optimize their benefits and reduce costs by leveraging data-driven insights.

Our guest on episode 21 of season two is Travis Bishop. Travis is the offensive line coach at Forest Park HS in northern Virginia.
