Welcome to a pandemic..
You’ve never been here before. The air here is heavy and the atmosphere is filled with panic and fear.
There are no rules. You have permission to navigate this new arena in any way you like. You may choose to see it as a time to create, or not.You may choose to see it as a time to rest, or not.You may spend your time reading more books, starting a new meditation practice, or binging Netflix. You may feel called to go inward- to cry, to journal, to spend more time in nature. You may also spend your time here slowing down- choosing not to be a do-er, choosing not to produce anything. You may want to workout and choose to cook more meals, or not.You may view this as a rest period for your body and maybe you’ll find pleasure in walks again.
You get to choose. And you get to choose on an hourly basis. Every hour will probably bring a new feeling, new desire, and new need. You will see others around you doing so many different things. It will be tempting to compare yourself, think you aren’t doing enough, and question yourself.Stay in your lane. There is no right or wrong way to navigate this.I don’t know what this will be like for you, but my hope is that you can find pleasure in things again. I hope you find a moment to exhale. You should know… you will come out on the other side. You will survive. And however you get to the other side is negligible. What matters is that you will make it. You should also know… you cannot lose. You cannot fuck this up because it is new, so how could you? You have people on your side. You have people cheering for you.Everyone, and I mean everyone, is in this with you.So sink in and take it moment bymoment.
I'm already proud of you just for showing up!
