Welcome back Seahawks fans, to the latest edition of the Seahawks Playbook Podcast! Bill Alvstad and Keith Myers sit down once again for our weekly show about all things Seahawks Football! This week, we review Seahawks free agency so far. We are about 10 days into the period where free agents can sign with any team, and we take a look at who we've retained, who we've lost and who we've added to the 2020 roster.
We also discuss the biggest news this week, with the acquisition via trade with the Washington Redskins for Corner back Quinton Dunbar. Seattle sends a 2020 5th round pick (via Pittsburgh) to the Redskins for Dunbar. This provides the Seahawks with excellent value as Dunbar has graded out in 2019 as Pro Football Focus 2nd ranked Corner back with an overall grade of 87.6. This ranking is 2nd only to former Seahawk Richard Sherman. While Dunbar does come to Seattle with a few injury concerns, he comes cheep. Dunbar has one year remaining under a contract that will pay him $4.5M in 2020. A bargain for a pro bowl caliber starting corner.
Make sure you join us on our next show as we look around the NFC West and see what the other teams in our division have been doing this off-season, as we all look forward to the 2020 season.
