This week guest host Leah Shaver, President & CEO of The National Transportation Institute, chats with Josh Hankins, senior vice president of safety, security, and driver personnel at J.B. Hunt. Josh is one of the leaders behind the innovation and implementation of technologies and programs at one of the most forward-looking companies in America. As he puts it: One of the core elements of accomplishing the large change management projects he helps oversee and steer is listening — listening to those across the organization, but especially to drivers, as he seeks a deep understanding of their experience with ongoing communication and engagement, as well as jumping in-cab and seeing firsthand how their jobs are shaped by the changes he and his team implement.
To celebrate drivers and their families, J.B. Hunt collaborated with Carol Ekster to create a special edition of the children’s book TRUCKER KID.
