We’re kicking off a brand-new season that’s unlike anything we’ve ever done! From laugh-out-loud “expert” fails to powerful wisdom on parenting, faith, and letting go of the pressure to know it all — this one will have you nodding, laughing, and maybe even rethinking your coffee order.
After 185 episodes and 17 years of friendship, we’re shaking things up with Gather the Experts — a lineup of incredible guests who know more than we do in areas that matter for faith, family, and everyday life. But first, we’re starting with our own “expertise” (coffee hacks, piles, teen survival strategies, and driving mishaps) plus lessons we’ve learned over the summer.

You don’t have to be an expert in everything — because you have access to the One who is. Let’s walk into this season with joy, wisdom, and a whole lot of laughter.

Summer fun doesn’t have to mean sacrificing your skin—or your sanity. In this episode of You Grow Girl, Kate and Rebecca are talking all things SPF, teenage tanning trends, and how caring for your skin can actually be an act of wisdom and worship.
With laughs, honest confessions, and a look at the Word, they remind us that the Lord is our Keeper—the One who provides shade, protection, and rest. They’re also sharing simple ways to slow down, step into the shade (literally and spiritually), and sit with God in the midst of a busy season.
Whether you’re chasing toddlers or chasing quiet moments, this conversation will help you see summer not just as a time to protect your skin—but to protect your peace.
Let’s grow, girl.

Summer fun doesn’t have to mean packing your calendar or draining your bank account. In this episode of You Grow Girl, Kate and Rebecca are talking about simple joys, shifting mindsets, and finding fun right where you are.
From porch hangs and popsicles to unexpected laughter during acts of service, we’re exploring how summer joy often shows up in the everyday. We’re also talking about the pressure moms feel to make summer magical—and how releasing expectations can actually lead to more meaningful memories.
Whether you’re catching fireflies or just catching your breath, this conversation will remind you that fun doesn’t have to be fancy. It can be slow. It can be sacred. And it can start with your mindset.
Let’s grow, girl.

Summer’s coming—and so is the pressure to do it all. But what if this year, you cared for yourself as much as you care for everyone else? In this episode of You Grow Girl, Kate and Rebecca are talking about what it really looks like to grow your summer care—with rhythms that restore your soul, not just your schedule.
From quiet time in the chaos to setting healthy boundaries, we’re sharing honest encouragement for moms who are tired, stretched thin, and craving a little space to breathe. Because caring for your family starts with caring for you, too.
Let’s make this a season of rest, renewal, and rootedness in Christ. You matter, Mama—and your care counts.
Let’s grow, girl.

Summer is heating up, and so is the pressure to make it magical. In our You Grow Girl series, Kate and Rebecca are getting real about the highs and lows of mom life in the summer. From “I’m bored!” to burnout, we know the struggle—and we’re here to help you shift from just surviving to truly thriving.
Before your calendar fills with camps and chaos, let’s pause and ask: What does my family actually need this summer? We’ll talk about setting realistic expectations, building simple faith-filled rhythms, and how our new Homegrown study can help you grow spiritually—right alongside your kids.
Whether you’re all-in on summer fun or barely holding it together, you’re not alone. Let’s trade pressure for purpose, and keep Jesus at the center. Because when we lead with intention, even the ordinary days can grow something beautiful.
Let’s grow, girl.

May has entered the chat… and she did not come quietly. Suddenly our calendars are bursting with recitals, field days, teacher gifts, graduations, and don’t forget Mother’s Day (which, let’s be honest, sometimes feels more like a group project than a day off). It’s beautiful—but also a lot.
So here’s your friendly reminder, mom: you don’t have to do it all. You don’t have to make five Pinterest-perfect gifts, show up to every event camera-ready, or celebrate on the exact “right” day. Sometimes the best gift is coffee in bed and quiet. Sometimes it’s Chick-fil-A and calling it a celebration. And sometimes it’s just surviving the week without crying in the school parking lot (we’ve been there).
God’s not asking you to do May perfectly—He’s inviting you to walk through it with Him. One day at a time. With grace for yourself, patience for your people, and eyes open to the small sacred moments hidden in the mayhem.
So let’s flip the script. Let’s make May less about measuring up, and more about showing up—with presence, peace, and a little holy perspective. You’ve got this, because He’s got you. And if all else fails? Call it May-gical and go take a nap.

Crunchy, silky, scrunchy…who came up with these names!? There are all types of moms and we are talking about all the mom stereotypes in this episode and how they can be helpful and hurtful. Whether you’re a Type A mom, a Type B Mom, or something totally different, you are the mom God created for the kids you have. You don’t need to try and copy what another mom is doing or compare yourself to her. Just like we see with Leah and Rachel from the Bible, moms in competition cause pain and division. But just like Mary and Elizabeth, moms can also create unity and encouragement when we cheer each other on.
Let’s commit to not giving anymore unsolicited advice. Let’s also be slower to judge and quicker to cheer other moms on! We are all in this together. When one of us gets better, we all do.

Let’s be real—money can be stressful. Between bills, budgets, and unexpected expenses, it’s easy to feel overwhelmed, anxious, or even a little discouraged. And as moms, we carry a lot of responsibility in managing our homes well. But what if instead of stressing over every dollar, we surrendered it to God?
Because here’s the truth: Everything we have is already His. And when we truly believe that, we can stop gripping our finances with fear and start handling them with wisdom, trust, and even peace.
In this episode, we’re getting real about financial struggles, learning to let go of comparison, and shifting our mindset from scarcity to stewardship. Maybe that means hitting pause on impulse buys, making small but intentional changes, or just taking an honest look at where our money is actually going (yes, that means counting those coffee runs!).
But more than just practical tips, we want to remind you: God sees you. He knows your needs. And He is faithful. So if you’re feeling stuck, stressed, or just unsure of where to start—take a deep breath. You are not alone in this. Let’s tackle finances His way and find freedom in trusting the One who provides.
Hit play and let’s dive in!
