Global population is increasing at an intense rate, posing a serious threat on the supplies of food. GMO stands for Genetically Modified Organism, organisms that are genetically modified or genetically engineered. Scientists transfer genes from one species and force them into the DNA of other species or gene-editing equipment that rearranges genes in the sequence, take genes out, etc. Simply it’s all artificial changes in the DNA done in a laboratory. Is it safe? Some say It is not possible to prove a food is safe, only to say that no hazard has been shown to exist. Is this true? Concerns generally focus on how the GMO may affect the environment or how it may affect you and your children’s health.
